Install git

GUI (Optional)

Optionally, for a GUI, additionally install TortoiseGIT.

TortoiseGIT is a graphical wrapper for the git CLI. TortoiseGIT is found in the Windows Explorer context menu.

Authentication

SSH (Recommended)
